The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it's alarmed regarding the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at sassa status check Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area daily. The website service stage designed for intervention activities a significant inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing of all consumers and enhance use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
